A walk through the Golden Globes 2024 | Highlights from the Red Carpet to the Winners

The much-awaited and anticipated Golden Globes Awards 2024 finally happened last Sunday, and it was an all-star-studded get-together.

The event brought all the actors and actresses from the best TV shows and films of the year together to recognize and award the talent. It was indeed a special moment for the actors.

The show, hosted by comedian Jo Koy,took place in Beverly Hills, California. The award show was broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+.

More than the awards, it’s the red carpet that interests the audience. Every star graced the red carpet with their chosen outfits for the award night, and here’s a brief walkthrough of most of the best moments from the 2024 Golden Globes.

1: Taylor Swift, who was nominated for her film based on her 2023 concert tour, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, chose to go with a shimmering green gown to match the red carpet (keep reading to know who won the award). The singer was in headlines for the last few days as it was speculated that she would skip Travis’s Chief’s game to attend the Golden Globes award.

2: Barbie girl Margot Robbie came to the award show in a stunning pink dress inspired by the Barbie Signature 1977 Superstar doll. Barbie, being one of the most anticipated movies of 2023, had acclaimed the highest number of nine nominations in the Golden Globes 2024, making it a tie with Succession.

The Barbie movie took home a number of awards in several categories.

3. Dream Scenario actor Nicolas Cage came to the award show with wife Riko Shibata and celebrated his 60th birthday, saying it was his second best birthday of life. Cage came in wearing a designer tuxedo, and his wife put on a maroon-colored furry sweater.

4: Many actors attended the event with their family members, like Charles Melton and Brie Larson, who were nominated for their roles in May December and Lessons in Chemistry respectively, with their mothers.

5: The Morning Show star Reese Witherspoon came with her son, Deacon Phillippe. The Morning Show was nominated for two awards.

6: The Killers of the Flower Moon cast was also in the limelight, as both the leading actors, Lily Gladstone and Leonardo DiCaprio, were nominated for their roles in the film. The film was nominated in a number of other categories.

Lily Gladstone adorned a white off-shoulder dress, while DiCaprio wore a black tuxedo paired with a white shirt.

7: Jennifer Lopez styled a fitted pink gown with rosette sleeves, and she shared a cute moment with Brie Larson when the latter had her fan moment with Lopez during her interview with ET.

8: Rosamund Pike came wearing a black gown paired with a see-through veil over her head that she described as a protective veil.

9: Oprah Winfrey, who produced the 2023 version of "The Color Purple, came to the event in a purple gown. Two actors from her film, Fantasia Barrino and Danielle Brooks, were nominated for the awards in acting categories.

10: Selena Gomez graced the red carpet in a red gown paired with minimal accessories.
