Now that the two Bridgerton siblings have found real love, it’s finally time to witness another Bridgerton swooning and suffering before landing true love. This time it’s our Colin Bridgerton who will enter the marriage market, but more than him, it’s the lady behind Lady Whistledown who has grabbed the most attention.

Yes, the wallflower Penelope would not be the same shy woman anymore (though she will be that way anyway, we know), as the now-grown-up woman has entered the marriage market and is set to find herself a husband this time, and no more being hopeless romantic swooning over her longtime crush, Colin.

Well, the excitement for watching Penelope in a new look is too much—almost so much that it makes the wait until May 2024 harder.

Bridgerton season 3 will be released in two parts, with the first part releasing on May 16 and the second part coming on June 13, 2024. Well, the release schedule of season 3 is new to the series, and one thing that becomes clear is that the next season is going to make us burn for it with a month gap between the release dates.

But we are up for anything to witness our Lady Whistledown’s love story with Colin.

The wait for Bridgerton season 3 has been long since the cast of the series announced the official beginning of the filming of Bridgerton season 3 back in July 2022. Since then, our eyes have been on the lookout for any teaser, picture, or snippet from the filming.

Well, the new look of Penelope for season 3 is beyond expectation, and it sets up the mood right for Polin's (fans’ creation) love story.

What is Bridgerton Season 3 going to be about?

Since the Bridgerton series is based upon the novel with the same name by Julia Quinn, it is not hard to know what the upcoming storyline will be, but rather it’s about witnessing the historical romance come alive, which is addictive and enthralling.

Bridgerton season 3 is going to focus on Colin and Penelope’s story as to how the two friends one-sided love for Pen will become lovers.

Polin's Love Story

It’s not new to find this duo about to get entangled in a love trope, as throughout the last two seasons, Pen’s love interest in Colin was visible, along with the latter being least interested in it.

That left Penelope friend-zoned, where she stayed friends with Colin but at the same time yearned for him romantically.

And honestly, it was hard to see Pen try her best to give clues to Colin, and the latter always misunderstanding it for her friendship.

But things have changed now, and we are in for it.

Yes, Penelope has grown up and changed, with a new agenda in her life. The best part? She will give up on her longtime crush, Colin, and will get determined to find herself a husband this time. This new confidence in Pen is visible through her new looks, which are beautiful and stunning (Colin is going to have a hard time being friends with Pen).

This is probably the result of what happened with her in the Featherington Ball at the end of season 2, where she overheard Colin telling his friend that he would never court her. This left her heart broken, and her new rift with Eloise didn’t help her situation.

Colin, who is used to Pen’s attention, will be affected by her lack of interest in him this time, and although Pen is confident about finding a husband for herself, her lack of confidence will hinder her. That’s where the two would unite. Colin would help Pen with her confidence to help her find a husband, and when his tricks become effective, it will make him wonder if his feelings for Penelope are just friendly or if there’s more.

The best part is that now it’s Colin’s time to get after Penelope, because we had enough of her chasing after him all the time. We want to see Penelope being chased, and finally, we will get to see the friends-to-lovers trope in Bridgerton season 3.
