Feud: Capote vs. The Swans Episode 3 Spoiler
The title, Capote vs. The Swans justifies the plot and spills the beans, letting us know that it will be all about Capote versus the Swans. All eight episodes of the season will cover that phase of Truman’s life when his friendship with high-society females in New York City spoiled after he wrote about their scandalous and dirty secrets in his unfinished novel Answered Prayers.
This work (a novel) by Capote proved to be a wrong move for his career, as it led to the Swans avenging him by getting him destroyed.
The series started with Capote comforting his high society friend Babe, who has just been exposed to his husband’s recent indiscretion with another woman, and Capote, being a good listener, provides her with a safe space, soaking in all her deep secrets all the while.
He is not only a good companion with Babe but also with her other wealthy friends, which include Slim Keith, Lee Radziwill, and C.Z. Guest. Only if Babe and her friends knew about his thing for spilling dirty secrets about high-society women through his writing, they would have been saved.
As for Episode 3, Masquerade 1966, it will cover two of the most important events from Capote’s life that took place in 1966: Albert and David Maysles’ documentary With Love from Truman and the author’s much-ballyhooed Black and White Ball.
The upcoming remaining episodes will disclose how Swans would revenge Capote and how it would cause his downfall as a proclaimed writer.
