Heartland Season 16 Episode 11 Recap

Episode 11 of Heartland Season 16 resolved the cliffhanger and let us all move forward, finally

Can you believe that there have been 16 seasons of Heartland? So much has happened from start to finish, and the last episode's cliffhanger in Heartland Season 16 was not a fun one to be left one, but thankfully, all our answers were answered. I can't believe we had to wait a month, though. It just seems a bit cruel.

If you want to know exactly what happened, carry on reading. Of course, if you don't want spoilers, make sure to watch it first. You can catch it on Hulu.
Let's dive into this Heartland Season 16 Episode 11 Recap.

What happened in Heartland Season 16 Episode 11

The question on everybody's mind: Is Jack okay? The last time we saw him he was completely unresponsive on his way to the hospital. If you don't remember, he was trampled by a horse that had a bag of rocks under his saddle - attempted sabotage by Mike.
We quickly find out that Jack is alright. He suffered 8 broken ribs but he is alive and is on his way back from the hospital. However, Amy and Lou are not happy about his return from the hospital - he realistically shouldn't be returning so soon. He managed to make a deal with Lisa where she would bring him home early given that he rests at home.
As you can imagine, classic Jack finds this hard and Lisa has to sternly remind him. Amy has been doing the barn chores, Lisa has been doing business, and everybody has rallied around to help pick up the slack.
Jack seems to be healing pretty well, which means the rest of Heartland Season 16 should have him in.

On the topic of Jack's injuries, Tim spends Heartland Season 16 tracking down Mike, trying to get revenge for what he did to Jack. Caleb joins him on this revenge ploy.
At the beginning of episode 11, we find out that Tim doesn't like how slow the police are being and that's why he decides to take it upon himself to find him.
Caleb was worried about how angry Tim was. Tim assured him that he was simply going to take Mike to the police. We see Tim and Caleb search RV parks, which is where they got some knowledge of where Mike was.
They then found Mike's RV but turns out he had sold it. They pay $100 to look through his old garbage - now that's a commitment. They find receipts from a bar - they tried their luck and went to the bar. They found him.
Caleb, who was worried about what Tim was going to do rang Jack. Tim was mid-rough housing Mike when Jack turned up and talked Tim out of punishing Mike himself. He decides to turn him in to the police.
On the way to the station, Mike started to reminisce about their lives. Tim realises that Mike just wants a family. H decides to hand Mike some money and leave him at a bus stop.

Episode 11 also saw Amy and Jack patch things up after their fight about Finn. Jack apologised to Amy. It was then that Amy finally admitted that she and Finn were completely over. It was a symbolic moment that showed that Amy was finally ready to heal.

We also see a heartwarming moment when Sherri Wild's granddaughter Miley finally finds her own feet. She is shown to be struggling with dressage throughout the episode. She admits that she feels too much pressure from the fact her grandmother is a celebrity in the horse world. In the end, she decides to drop the Wild's last name and pave her own path with the sport. Sherri Wild is seen to be over the moon and even states that she doesn't mind what name or what sport her family chooses. It was a lovely moment and perhaps opens up a new storyline for Miley.

The final storyline is all around Lou and Katie. Lou has been desperately trying to reconnect with Katie but has not been having too much success. Lou sees Katie get hurt after witnessing Logan and Miley hugging, she realises that Katie just has a teenage crush.
The end of the episode saw Katie sobbing in her bed while Lou was knocking on her door. Katie is still upset with Lou reading her journal all the back in episode seven.
I can't wait until this little row between them is all resolved. Will a romance between Katie and Logan come to fruition, too?
