SPOILER Alert!
Episode 10 starts with Jack watching the sky and interpreting clouds as bad omens, which eventually proves to be true. As for the first half of the episodes, things don’t seem to go the right way for the family.
The family is busy preparing for Shane’s and Chloe’s weddings, in between dealing with their personal lives. Amy is busy working with Powder to get him healed completely, Lou, Tim, and Jack are busy working their way up to Garland Foods for Heartland Beef, and Lao’s daughter Katie is learning her way up with her new bike.
Highlights from Heartland Season 17 Episode 10 that you cannot miss.
Nathan and Amy’s deep relationship talks
Amy gets to spend considerable time with Nathan while she is on the farm helping Powder heal. This gives them ample space to talk, and the two share their takes on how they view relationships. While Amy has an optimistic take on it, Nathan seems to be quite pessimistic with his approach to marriage and love. He tells Amy that he just does not believe that one is meant to spend their entire life with just one person. We also get to know that probably his failed marriage is behind his pessimistic view of relationships.
By the end of the episode, we see Nathan and Amy finding common ground and developing a better understanding of each other, giving the two a better equation.
The Future of Heartland Beef (Lou, Tim, and Jack)
Lou, Tim, and Jack had to struggle with settling the Heartland Beef business with Garland Foods since Fred got fired from the position. But the trio never gives up and works their way up to keep going on with proposing their business to the new heads of Garland Foods. But we do not get to see them win in the end, and this is a good example of how uncertainties are normal in one’s life, and in such situations, it is important to keep going on without losing hope.
Shane and Chloe’s bond strengthens.
Shane and Chloe get honest with their communication and face some challenges ahead of their wedding that only strengthen their bond. Initially, they had some miscommunication around their decision to move to London after their wedding, but since Shane was not quite sure about it once he had been offered a promotion in his company, we see tension build between the two. The two finally get on the same page, with them deciding not to go to London after their wedding. They tie the knot in Heartland and promise each other forever.
Tim and Shane get closer.
We see Shane and Tim sharing deep and emotional talks with each other, which clearly brings them together. Tim builds a gazebo for Shane’s and Chloe’s wedding, and Shane also asks him to become his best man for his wedding. In one scene, we get to see Tim tell Shane how proud he is of him. The father-son duo comes closer in this episode.
Katie’s victory
Also, this episode shows how Katie’s determined to learn to jump on her bike but is initially afraid. But after spending some quality family time, she gets motivated to go for it anyway, and at the end of the episode, we see her claiming victory as she successfully learns to jump on her bike.
Bartlett-Fleming-Morris Family Time
How could a Heartland season end without the entire family spending some invaluable time together? Yes, there’s a scene in the episode where the whole family goes on a cattle ride, and they are doing it after a long, long time. They do it on Lisa’s request, as it was her birthday, and she asks them for this. After the ride, Jack tells everyone that everything is temporary and will keep going, but family is the most important, and it is what matters most of all.
The episodes end with Shane and Chloe tying the knot happily, and Powder gets in much better condition with the help of Amy.
Despite the challenges, the family keeps moving ahead with hope, and that ended Heartland season 17 episode 10 on a good note.
