Jim Carrey turns 62 this year on January 17, but he only keeps getting younger and sassier with time.
The Dumb and Dumber star was all high-spirited and in the birthday mood this Wednesday when he got together with his friends for a pre-celebration.
The actor was spotted exiting the San Vicente Bungalows restaurant in West Hollywood with A-listers friends Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Sandler, Seth Green, Jeff Ross, Dustin Hoffman, and Bill Burr.
Not to mention the long hair of Carrey that he aced and rocked in, defying his age.
Carrey and his pals seemed to be having a good time together; all were smiling when they exited the venue, and the soon-to-be-turning-62 actor took a gift and cake into his SUV when he left.
While Carrey chose a brown jacket for his outfit, his friends mostly kept their OOTD casual, with Sandler choosing to wear a green sweater with cargo pants.
Burr wore all black with a small cap on his head.
When it comes to comedy, there is no one better than Carrey, and his friends couldn’t agree more.
In 2020, Sandler shared on Kimmel’s show how funny he found Jim in Sonic the Hedgehog and recalled the time when he called him from the theater to tell him the same.
Burr is also all praise for his friend Carrey, as in 2021 he called out Carrey for his brilliant comedic skills in an interview with Bert Kreischer.
Burr appeared with Jim on Saturday Night Live in October 2020.
Last year, Giant Freaking Robot claimed in a report that Carrey would be reprising the role of The Grinch in the sequel, but The Truman Show actor recently made it clear that he would not be doing The Grinch in the next sequel.
This is understandable, as in April 2023, the actor expressed his wish to take a break after his work in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Jim Carrey is fairly serious about retiring from Hollywood, as he shared it with Access Hollywood back then, adding that only a good and moving script could change his mind. It seems like Carrey is content with his life as an actor and now looks forward to living his life in peace, inclined toward spirituality.
In his words, he stated,
Well, I’m retiring. Yeah, probably. I’m being fairly serious. It depends. If the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road, but I’m taking a break.
Adding to it, Carrey said,
I really like my quiet life and I really like putting paint on canvas and I really love my spiritual life and I feel like — and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists — I have enough. I’ve done enough. I am enough.
