Netflix’s Ripley teaser is out, and Andrew Scott is up to something in Ripley.

Andrew Scott’s starrer Ripley Teaser is out, and it sets the tone right with a no-color, sheer black and white setting.

This Monday, Netflix released a one-minute teaser of the series Ripley, featuring Andrew Scott. The series is the film adaptation of the best-selling Tom Ripley novels by Patricia Highsmith.

In brief, the series follows the life of a man named Ripley as he gets hired by a wealthy man to travel to Italy to convince his son to get back with him. Though it would not be an easy thing to do, Ripley would have to escape potential threats on his way, using his wit and skills.

About the teaser

Set in a black-and-white world, accompanied by intense background music, one thing that’s certain from the one-minute-long teaser trailer is that Scott’s character Ripley is up to something.

Mostly quiet and careful with his every move, Scott’s Ripley seems to be on a mission that demands him to be behind his real identity, or he could be open to threats.

With no permanent contact, no address, and an ongoing confusion with Ripley's name in the teaser, it is clear that the series is going to keep us on the edge every second with suspense uncovering.

Overall, Scott comes off very convincing in the teaser as sharp and mysterious Ripley and has left us excited for the release day.

Fans Reactions

Fans are hooked by the teaser and are all excited, many calling Andrew Scott as the best cast for Ripley. The fans’ reactions are all positive with one saying,  “From the creator of "The Night Of". HELL YEAH!!!! I'm definitely gonna be locked in for this series.”

Another one wrote, “This is going to be amazing. There are many great Ripley's stories that Patricia Highsmith wrote. “The night of“ was an amazing series, so that’s a great pedigree. Andrew Scott is a genius. And it’s amusing that John Malkovich appears in it, since he also played Ripley in a movie.”

Andrew Scott’s last appearance in Andrew Haigh’s All of Us Strangers received universal acclaim, bringing him a Golden Globe nomination and much wider recognition.
