We couldn’t agree more with Stone.

Films are influential, and coming out with ones that are woman-oriented and speak of their empowerment is necessary for a positive change in upcoming times.

With films like Barbie, where we represented a world where women lived independently and had a strong presence, we have indeed come a long way.

Why are movies like Barbie necessary?

The concept of Barbie is not new; the doll has been part of almost everyone’s childhood, creating a special space for itself in everyone's heart.

But over time, the fake beauty standards that Barbie dolls put on women all over the world raised concerns, and soon, Mattle began producing Barbie dolls of different ethnicities and different body types, making them more relatable and realistic.

The film, which showed a perfect world of Barbies where they lived a perfect life, was contrasted with the representation of the real world, where women were objectified and treated like dolls.

It perfectly highlighted the pains of being a woman and of the world always trying to fit her in a box.

Films like Barbie, which are centered around the emotions, feelings, and wants of women, are required and necessary for the empowerment of young girls.

And the success of the Barbie movie is proof that we have made progress over time.

Stone said right, the world has changed for women with time, and we are up for more of it in future times with the courage and bravery of women in the film industry and world.
