Highlights of The Buccaneers Season 1 Finale Episode

Theo's mother talks to Nan.

Prior to the wedding, Theo's mother, the Duchess of Tintagel, talks to Nan and reminds her of her duty as the future Dutchess. She tells her that now she must not step back from the wedding. We also get to see that she prioritizes her duty as the Duchess more than her role as mother, as later in the episode she would find Guy and Nan together on the night before the wedding but would not let it affect Theo and Nan's wedding. She is more concerned about her reputation as a duchess than her son’s personal life.

Theo gives Nan the choice.

When everyone is happy and excited for the ‘Wedding of the Season', which is Theo and Nan’s wedding, the couple does not seem to be on good terms. When they finally break their silence, Theo asks Nan if she loves Guy, which she denies. He still offers her a chance to call off the wedding if she is not sure about it.

Nan goes to talk to Patti.

The day before the wedding, Nan goes to Patti to share her feelings of being unsure about the wedding. But she stops herself once she realizes the power her marriage with Theo is going to bring to her mother, Patti. Patti shares with her the idea of getting divorced from Tracy because, as a mother of duchess, she will have more power.

Seeing this, Nan refrains from telling Patti about her inner feelings regarding the wedding.

Mable comes out to Lizzy.

Mable had made a plan to get into a marriage of convenience with Miles as a way to stay close to Honoria. But a conversation with Miles about their marriage makes Mable rethink. She comes out to Lizzy and tells her the truth. Lizzy accepts her, and the two share a tight hug at the end.

Mable and Honoria get honest with their relationship.

Mable goes to Honoria and tells her that she has dropped the idea of marrying Miles. She shares her feelings with her and tells her that they don't need to be afraid of others. Honoria and Mable accept their relationship and promise to be there for each other, no longer being afraid of being seen as unacceptable by others.

Richard cuts ties with his mother.

In this episode, we get to see Richard finally confronting his mother and breaking ties with the family, saying he had had enough of her, making him and Conchita feel irrelevant and small. He cuts ties with them completely, including separation on financial terms too. Conchita also feels happy for him but tells him that they cannot afford to cut ties with the family because they have no money in hand at the moment since she received a letter saying that her father wants the money back.

But this does not make Richard change his decision. He tells Conchita that they could do anything on their own in their lives from then on. He felt relieved and liberated from making this decision.

Guy confesses to Nan.

It's the day before the wedding, and while everyone is enjoying the party, Nan sits in her room, feeling confused. Guy sneaks into her room through the window, and he confesses his love to her. Guy tells her that he loves her eternally and always thinks of her. Nan and Guy get close, and the two kiss each other when Guy tells her that he will be leaving the next day and wants her to come with him. Guy's honest confession takes away Nan's confusion, and she says yes to him happily. The two spent the night together in Nan's room.

Jinny comes to Nan for help.

Jinny's pregnancy comes out to James in this episode. James learned about her pregnancy when Miles checked up on Jinny after she fainted during the party.

James is not happy with the news. When Jinny wakes up, he confronts her about it and slaps her hard on the face. He even questions her about whether it is his child or not; this shocks Jinny, but she feels helpless to get out of the trap of James.

Once James is asleep, Jinny escapes and goes to Nan's room for help.

Nan and Guy help Jinny.

When Nan gets to see the marks on Jinny's arms, she realizes her situation and hugs her tight. She then calls out Guy, who had hid under the bed to hide from Jinny. The two make a plan to help Jinny escape James. But right when they were about to escape, James caught Jinny and Nan and took Jinny away with him. Nan's and Guy's plan to help Jinny fails the first time.
