Titans Season 4 Episode 12- Recap and Ending Explained

The last episode of Titans begins with Rachel in her White Raven form, going to the Temple of Azarath, her goal was to stop Brother Blood. Sebastian summons Trigon, and the rumbling starts, Trigon says that his soul was racked by fear and weakened with confusion, but he overcame that, and He is the true son of Trigon. Sebastian asks Trigon how he feels about his mother, and that his mother told him that when Trigon rises, they both would rule the world together as equals, at that point, Rachel appears using her powers, she tries to stop Sebastian by saying that Trigon is lying, he can’t trust his father, he will kill him, she also asks how he would bring him there.
Sebastian replies that Trigon has something he needs, He attacks Trigon and tricks him, and we see him falling into the hellfire,

The “something” he needed from Trigon was his heart, Sebastian takes out his heart and approaches towards Rachel, he tells her that since she is the only family member he has now, he wants her to join him to rule the whole world together. Rachel refuses to do so, she says that she would not do this as Sebastian has gone way too far and they are not family anymore. Sebastian who is now Brother Blood, now drinks Trigon’s blood from his heart, he admits that he ate both his mother and father so now he hints that he has a plan to eat Rachel too, by saying he still has a room for her after eating his parents. Rachel wakes up after he tries to attack her, Her team members help her to gain consciousness, and she tells her team members that Trigon came back and Brother Blood killed him, he absorbed his power and his evil, it was like he absorbed his soul. She is unsure and does not know how to stop him.
After the team gets inside, they find Connor’s body, and they take his body to the lab, Dick after examining his body, reveals that there is a chance to revive Connor, A cocktail of red kryptonite, nitroglycerin, and epinephrine might do the wonders. Now, Bernard calls the Titans to tell them a piece of important information, He found something called The Icarus Gate, He tells them that It’s a wormhole that can transport anything to anywhere in the universe the object can be as small as an atom and as big as a planet. Although they can operationally function they practically do not have enough power to run that on Earth. Upon asking why would Brother Blood want the access to run it, Kory answers that He wants to destroy Tamaran, They represent anything that he is not, He can’t rule until there is no trace of them left. She tells Gar to stop the RV.
Dick and Kory have a conversation in a car, Dick tells Kory that he has a plan, He says that Bernard thinks he can get them inside the lab, Once they are in they can destroy the Icarus Gate, in that way, Brother Blood cannot use it.
Brother Blood reaches the location where the Icarus Gate is, He tries to operate the Gate by saying the password “Azarath Metrion Zinthos” The software A.I. tells him that in order to operate the Gate he needs energy equivalent to 10,089 suns, He asks the A.I. if a Tamaran were to use their power in this room, would that be enough to operate the Gate, to which the A.I. replies yes, it says that a typical Tamaranean can generate up to energy to over 10,000 zettajoules, which is enough to operate the gate. That basically means if Starfire uses her powers, it would be enough to open and function the gate.
Kory arrives at the gate, Brother blood tells her that when the Gate is fully charged he is going to send this garbage-covered excuse for a planet hurtling through space to destroy Diamond. Kory replies that destroying Earth and Tamaran was his father’s goal, it actually never was his. We see Starfish a.k.a Kory convincing Brother Blood to stop doing whatever he wishes to, but Brother Blood proceeds on to his mission.
We see the Titans coming just in time when the power is at 22 percent, Raven unhooks Kory while Gar pulls out the cables, and Bernard guides them off to be careful. We see Conner arriving just in time, he blasts Sebastian into the excess blue light energy that has been coming off of Kory. Although they thought they won, Kory questions if he ever comes back, she says that there is a flame inside of her, she cannot just put it out and restart it, so She sacrifices herself to make sure he never returns.
Now at the End of the Episode and the Season we see,
Dick taking everyone out for dinner. Gar announces he’s leaving to fulfill his duties as the guardian of The Red. We see Rachel enrolling at Bludhaven University. Tim is going to split his time between his Robin responsibilities in Gotham and his Bernard responsibilities in Metropolis. Since Superman wants to spend some time with him, Conner returns to Metropolis too. The show Ends with the Sacrifice of Starfire and the Titans seem that they too moved on well in their life.
