Tulsa King Season 3, Episode 7 Recap

After the chaos of episode six, Tulsa King Season 3, Episode 7 tightens the screws on power, loyalty, and manipulation. The latest chapter finds Dwight Manfredi pushing further into political and criminal territory, as old alliances and new schemes take shape.

Dwight and Ray Revisit the Terms of Power

The episode opens at the Bred-2-Buck Casino, where Dwight, surrounded by his trusted circle, Goodie, Mitch, Tyson, and Bigfoot, receives a call that surprises everyone. It’s Ray. Despite the tension and the fallout from the shootout at Bubbles, Ray is suddenly open to a truce. The apparent hostility between Dwight and Ray now looks more like a chess move than an actual feud.

In their conversation, Dwight refuses to surrender the majority share of his liquor business but offers a compromise that benefits both parties. His plan is to expand Montague Distilleries into the Northeast with Ray’s help. Ray would control the profits in his region while Dwight gains access to new markets. Ray accepts, albeit with a warning, that someday, Dwight may have to share his empire. Dwight brushes off the threat, seeing it as posturing rather than promise.

The discussion then turns to the recent ambush by Cole’s crew at Bubbles. While his men expect immediate retaliation, Dwight makes a calculated decision to hold off until Montague Distilleries’ operations are back on track. For that to happen, the ABLE seal placed on their business needs to be lifted, a task that leads Dwight straight to the office of Attorney General Sackrider.

Dwight’s Political Gambit Begins

At Sackrider’s office, Dwight plays the long game. Rather than pleading for leniency, he reminds Sackrider that his power stems from Governor Jeremiah’s influence, a connection that may soon be worthless if the frontrunner, Thresher, wins the gubernatorial race. Knowing Thresher is in his pocket, Dwight suggests that Sackrider reconsider his loyalties before it’s too late.

The suggestion plants a seed of doubt, though Sackrider offers no promises. Seeking leverage, Dwight contacts Margaret, who has a knack for gathering useful intelligence. Margaret meets Anna, Sackrider’s wife, and learns that their marriage is strained by Sackrider’s gambling addiction; with that vulnerability exposed, Dwight brings the idea of flipping Sackrider to Thresher.

Thresher, initially wary of antagonizing Jeremiah during his campaign, rejects the idea. But Margaret persuades him that gaining Sackrider’s loyalty would not only secure his political win but also weaken the sitting governor’s network. Reluctantly, Thresher agrees to meet Sackrider under Dwight’s watchful eye.

The Casino Meeting

The meeting between Thresher and Sackrider takes place at the Bred-2-Buck Casino. Dwight and his team, Margaret, Grace, Mitch, and Bigfoot, observe from the monitoring room. Thresher opts for blunt persuasion, attempting to bribe Sackrider outright, but the approach backfires. Sackrider retreats into discomfort, sensing the trap.

That’s when Dwight subtly intervenes. He sends Grace to the casino floor, delivering chips and charm to put Sackrider at ease. The move works, and soon Sackrider is drawn into the thrill of gambling, losing himself in the rush of the tables.

Meanwhile, Jeremiah arrives at the casino’s parking lot, intent on pulling Sackrider out of Dwight’s orbit. But Dwight refuses to let him through, instead offering two parting shots, one suggesting Jeremiah read The Art of War, and another urging him to join Dwight’s expanding enterprise or face the consequences. Jeremiah, unwilling to bow, leaves with a promise of retaliation.

Inside, Sackrider’s luck shifts from good to disastrous as Dwight secretly rigs the dice through Grace. Each loss deepens Sackrider’s financial hole, binding him further to Dwight. When Thresher realizes Dwight has been manipulating both of them, he confronts him. But Dwight lays out his logic clearly by indebting Sackrider, he ensures long-term loyalty and, consequently, Thresher’s political success. Though irritated, Thresher recognizes the brilliance behind the scheme.

Dwight’s Trap Closes

As Sackrider’s losses pile up, he eventually approaches Dwight in desperation. Calm and collected, Dwight offers him a way out, erasing the debt in exchange for loyalty. Sackrider hesitates, but the defeat in his eyes confirms what words don’t. He’s now firmly under Dwight’s control.

Trouble Brews for Tyson, Spencer, and Goodie

In another part of Tulsa, Tyson and Goodie devise their own side hustle to make up for the financial slump caused by the distillery shutdown. With the Dunmires monitoring every liquor route, they turn to a new revenue stream, extorting university students involved in drug trade.

Spencer, who’s already entangled in a secret relationship with Cole, reluctantly helps them locate a notorious frat house supplying drugs across Tulsa. Cole’s brief appearance reveals more cracks in his loyalty to Jeremiah. Despite being on opposite sides, he confides in Spencer that he despises working for her boss’s rival; their relationship feels like a doomed subplot, echoing a modern Romeo and Juliet dynamic, but without the same spark.

The next day, Tyson and Goodie storm the frat house, posing as federal agents. When one of the students recognizes Tyson from school, he plays along, convincing them to hand over the stash of money and drugs. Goodie decides to deliver the cash to Dwight while leaving the drug sales to Tyson and Spencer, who claim they can sell through local bars and clubs, which could spell trouble in episodes to come.

Jeremiah’s Empire Crumbles

Back in Jeremiah’s camp, frustration turns to fury. Humiliated by Dwight’s growing dominance, Jeremiah lashes out at Cole, treating him like a verbal punching bag. Cole’s loyalty is visibly crumbling but lacks the power to break free.

The final act of the episode delivers one of the most pivotal moments of the season. Jeremiah receives a copy of The Art of War, a taunting gift from Dwight, and learns that Sackrider has lifted the ABLE seal from Montague Distilleries. Realizing his authority has evaporated, Jeremiah storms into Sackrider’s office, enraged by what he perceives as betrayal. Sackrider, now emboldened by his new alliance, stands his ground and declares his faith in Dwight’s leadership.

Jeremiah’s temper explodes, and he violently attacks Sackrider in broad daylight. Security intervenes, dragging Jeremiah out and placing him under arrest. The once-untouchable governor finds himself behind bars, his influence dismantled by Dwight’s calculated maneuvers.

What Lies Ahead

By the end of Tulsa King Season 3, Episode 7, Dwight has again proven his strategic brilliance, converting enemies into assets and turning political corruption into a tool of expansion. Sackrider now operates firmly within his orbit, Thresher owes him a silent debt, and Jeremiah is off the board at least for now.

Yet questions linger. Will Jeremiah find a way back into the game? Can Cole survive on his own without his father’s protection? And will Dwight’s empire continue to rise, or has he sown the seeds of his next downfall?

As the episode closes, it’s clear that Dwight Manfredi’s power play has entered a new phase, one that blurs the lines between politics and organised crime.
