Opal shone as Rosemary’s pint-sized assistant, managing budgets, deadlines, and logistics with uncanny precision. The dynamic they share was charming, hilarious, and surprisingly touching. Seeing Lee’s amused pride as Opal mirrored his wife’s personality made the whole storyline even sweeter.
Poor Elizabeth, having every single story idea vetoed by the ultra-practical trio, was both funny and mildly tragic. But in true Elizabeth fashion, she turned frustration into creativity, crafting a script about a kidnapped schoolteacher and her heroic Mountie rescuer. Write what you know, indeed.
