Welcome to the recap of The L Word: Generation Q Season 3 Episode 7. The third season of this beloved show has given us some amazing moments, and this episode was no different - including a skinny dip between our favourite (or maybe not) favourite romance, a much-awaited kiss, and a drunken plunder. I loved this episode and I've seen that it has been quite the hit with other fans of The L Word. Of course, this article will include spoilers so if you haven't watched the episode go ahead and catch up. So, let's begin.

The L Word Recap

The L Word Recap

We start the episode on what appears to be a sunny, happy day in Los Angeles. However, the atmosphere shifts as Finely is shown storming out of her house. Episode 2 saw Finely being dumped after her controvertible writing decisions. There is a slight hint that Finely may relapse into alcohol, but much to everybody's relief she decides to call Tess. - who doesn't answer. She then rings Shane, who thankfully does answer but informs her that they are on their way to Vegas with Tess for her Mother's funeral. This almost seems to put things into perspective for Finely who decides to turn to Carrie.
Can we all agree about how happy we are that Carrie has returned to The L Word?

We then flash to the scene with Micah, Dani, and Sophie. Sophie informs the gang that she has decided to get her nipples pierced - possibly a way to cope with her breakup.
It is here that we learn that Fletcher has a release party that night and that everybody is invited. Sophie seems to be taken aback by the fact that Dre will be there. Micah wants to go but the episode touches on his codependent relationship with Maribel. They don't seem to do anything without each other.

We then go to The Alice Show. Tom and Alice haven't seen each other since Tom unsuccessfully proposed to Alice at the top of the Eiffel Tower. However, their reunion isn't awkward at all - perhaps because Tom believes he is there for talks about another book.

The next scene is at California University, where Angie is packing the overnight bag for her toxic relationship with her teacher.
We then skip to Finely who has made a car crash of a lasagne. She, amid her breakup, completely takes this as a sign that she cannot do anything right and is useless. Carrie, being a real-life angel, comforts Finley. Turns out, burnt lasagne isn't a major character flaw. Carrie then invites Finely to her bowling league.

Back to Alice and Tom, where Tom is incessantly rambling about the second book deal that doesn't exist. Then a cat meows, Alice is delighted at both the interruption and also the confirmation that there is a cat and not a "ghost"

Back at the bungalow, Maribel is shown to be exhausted from looking at potential donors for their child. Micah, who might be having issues with this topic as a whole, suggests that they have fun and party. Maribel is not interested until she decides that they should look after Sophie.

Finally, it's time for Fletcher's moment to shine. We are treated to a scene between Dani and Dre where it is very clear that there is a flirtationship brewing.

We then head over to the bowling alley with Finley and Carrie. Carrie advises Finley to not send a message to Sophie. Finley then confronts Carrie about why she hasn't asked Misty on a date yet.

Back to Fletcher's release party. Micah is talking to Michael, who Micah quickly realises would be the perfect donor. He would later tell Maribel about his big plot. Sophie arrives in what can be called nothing less than a revenge dress. She starts a conversation with Dre, which ends up on the party sofa. Sophie tries to kiss Dre but is rejected. This pushes Sophie to the bar where she reaches a breakup-style level of drunk.

At the other end of the party, Dani is having a large margarita with the star of the show, Fletcher.

Back at the bowling alley, where Sophie is having a conversation with Misty, and she makes the arguable decision to tell her that Carrie is totally into her. Misty informs Sophie that Carrie isn't her type. Carrie has overheard the entire conversation.

Have we forgotten about the strange meow with Tom and Alice? Well, Tom has sourced it and it's a tiny little kitten living in the walls of the office. Tom tells Alice that he is seeing somebody else and that she is pregnant.
We then flash to an even more awkward moment. Hendrix is talking to an agent and, rudely, introduces Angie as his student. Angie finds this upsetting, for obvious reasons.

Let's go to Fletcher's party. Micah and Maribel are seen hitting it off with Michael. Much to everybody's pleasure, he says he would be delighted to be the donor for Micah and Maribel.

We then see Carrie storming out of the bowling alley, fuming at Finley. They have a little argument where Carrie expresses that she's done with bowling and is disappointed in Finley. She still tells Finley to meet in her car and shows her unconditional compassion. It's a weirdly heartwarming moment.

Then to Angie and Hendrix, where Hendrix is too occupied with the email from a CAA agent to give Angie the apology she deserves. He eventually tries to tell her he is falling in love with her but it can't work out if he remains as her teacher as it is unethical (duh?!).

Back to the dramatic party and Sophie and Dharma are kissing. But who is this mystery woman? No other than Michael's wife. He is not happy about the situation. Ensues a slight scuffle where the drunk Sophie ends up in the pool.
Dani takes Sophie to a cab to get out of the party. Dani flirts a little more with Fletcher.

We're back at Carrie's cosy house, now. Finley has made an amazing lasagne. The doorbell rings and it's Misty who awkwardly admits that she does really like Carrie. Amazing. The next scene between them is where they share a kiss. Finley is in the other room and decides to text her ex saying "thinking about you".

Then the final scene. Dre is in the pool and Dani joins them. Dre and Dani share a much-awaited kiss. And that ends our recap of Episode 7 of The L Word.
