MobLand Season 2 Episode 3 Recap: Frankie Makes His Move

MobLand season 2 episode 3 picks up after Frankie’s attack, leaving the Harrigans scrambling to understand what has happened and how much damage has been done. Harry immediately begins trying to contain the situation while the rest of the family struggles to keep up with the rapidly changing circumstances.

At the pub, Paul confronts Keith, the owner, and demands the CCTV recorder following Fergus’ murder. At the same time, Kevin desperately tries to reach Bella, but she does not answer his calls. The Harrigans soon discover why as security footage from Kevin and Bella’s house shows that Bella has been taken.

Zosia has also been captured. She is brought before Frankie, who makes it clear that he now considers both women to be working for him. Harry begins keeping Conrad informed about the developments, although Conrad initially chooses not to tell Maeve everything that is happening.

The Harrigans are soon surrounded by another problem when a group of lawyers arrives offering their services. While Harry tries to deal with the growing crisis, Eddie contacts Maeve and tells her about the massacre outside his home. Seraphina also calls Conrad to explain why she will not be able to make dinner. Maeve starts to realise that something is being kept from her, and after the lawyers leave, she confronts Conrad and demands to know what is happening.

The police are investigating the violence as well. Kavanagh wants the original CCTV footage from the pub after noticing that there is a suspicious gap in the recording. She also obtains footage from Eddie’s property. After enhancing the images, she is able to see Eddie standing at the window while the shooting takes place outside.

Zosia eventually returns with Frankie’s demands. He wants Conrad, Harry and Kevin to meet him at Kevin’s yard. He also confirms that Bella is still alive and promises to return her if they cooperate.

Seraphina is initially unaware of the full situation until Donnie calls her and explains what is happening. He tells her that she needs to attend the meeting that night, otherwise their arrangement could be put at risk.

Harry and Kevin decide that Conrad should not attend the meeting. Seraphina, however, manages to secure a place at the sit-down. During her conversation with Harry, she casually refers to their attacker as Frankie Cooper. Harry immediately notices the problem because nobody had told Seraphina the man's name.

After their conversation ends, Harry contacts Zosia and tells her that the man behind the attacks is Frankie Cooper. When Zosia asks how he knows, Harry explains that Seraphina accidentally gave him the information by using Frankie’s name.

Elsewhere, Jan agrees to have dinner with Donnie. The evening becomes intimate, and the two eventually sleep together.

Maeve takes Eddie to a luxurious Harrigan property in London that Conrad has apparently owned since the 1970s. She shows Eddie around the secluded residence and tells him that Gina is not allowed there. Maeve also talks about Eddie’s resemblance to Conrad, particularly his eyes, which makes him uncomfortable.

Despite Maeve’s warning, Gina soon arrives at the property. She and Eddie drink and take drugs together, and Eddie begins wondering whether the house could actually be the place where he was conceived. When Maeve unexpectedly returns, Eddie quickly hides Gina before she can be discovered.

Maeve does not realise that Gina is there. Instead, she talks to Eddie about Ireland, giving him another reason to consider leaving London.

Later that night, Frankie arrives at Kevin’s yard on an electric scooter wearing a white crash helmet. He meets with Harry, Kevin and Seraphina and begins by discussing Richie Stevenson’s death and the events that followed it. He points out that Eddie killed Tommy, which led to the war that followed and caused the Harrigans to lose large parts of their business.

Frankie also points out that the Harrigans currently have no clear successor. He then presents himself as the person who can take control of the organisation.

His proposal is to divide North London into four sectors, with each area placed under the control of a route captain who would answer directly to him. He plans to reorganise the Harrigans’ operations, including protection, gambling, debt collection, prostitution, supply and communications.

Harry would remain in his position and continue managing the day-to-day problems within the organisation. Frankie’s plan, however, comes with one major condition: Conrad and Maeve must die.

Seraphina appears more receptive to the proposal, particularly because of her existing connection with Kat’s people. Kevin, however, is not willing to accept Frankie’s terms. Harry remains focused on keeping the situation from escalating. He also suspects that Frankie may be working for someone more powerful and considers the possibility that Kat is connected to what is happening.

Harry ultimately rejects Frankie’s offer!

Frankie initially refuses to release Bella because Conrad did not attend the meeting. Kevin becomes increasingly angry when Frankie continues provoking him and eventually pulls out a gun, holding Frankie at gunpoint. Harry intervenes before the confrontation can turn violent, and Frankie eventually agrees to honour his promise.

Bella is returned to the Harrigan compound alive. Afterward, Harry confronts Seraphina outside about how she knew Frankie Cooper’s name. She claims that she heard Harry say it while he was speaking to Conrad. Harry does not challenge her explanation, but his reaction makes it clear that he remains suspicious.

Frankie has left something behind at the yard, however. As everyone begins leaving, Zosia tells Dog to close up. Dog notices Frankie’s white crash helmet sitting on the desk and picks it up.

The helmet is actually a bomb!

The moment Dog handles it, the office explodes, bringing the episode to a sudden and violent end.
