The Way Home Season 4 Episode 6 Predictions: Kat Gets Closer to the Truth About Tessa

After everything that happened in Episode 5 of The Way Home, the next chapter will likely focus heavily on Elliot as he becomes even more determined to uncover the truth about his mother’s past. Now that he has finally seen his parents as young people, it feels like something inside him has shifted. Instead of simply looking for answers about the pond, Elliot may start digging deeper into the secrets surrounding his family, especially after realizing there were parts of his mother’s life he never truly understood. The upcoming episode could show him working closely with Kat as the two continue tracing Tessa’s connection to the past and the strange events tied to Lingermore.

The mystery surrounding Tessa will probably become even bigger. Episode 5 already hinted that she knew far more about the pond than anyone expected, and her repeated disappearances continue raising questions. There is a strong chance Kat and Elliot may discover that Tessa was moving between timelines much earlier than they believed; her connection to the Auggie boys and the illegal rum operation may also finally start making sense, especially if the show decides to reveal what truly happened inside the mines. The series has been slowly building toward something darker connected to Lingermore, and it feels possible that the next episode could finally expose part of that hidden story.

Nick’s experience in the 1920s may also leave lasting effects on him. After nearly getting trapped in the past, he could begin questioning whether continuing these dangerous trips is worth the risk. At the same time, his decision to settle down after purchasing the house may start opening a more personal storyline connected to his future. The show has already been teasing unanswered questions about the woman he eventually marries, so there is a chance the next episode begins dropping stronger clues about that relationship.

Meanwhile, Jacob’s return home may not be as easy as Del hoped it would be. Although Del finally chose to focus on the present instead of living inside old memories, Jacob still feels like someone caught between two lives. After spending so much time away from Port Haven, adjusting to normal life again may become difficult for him. The next episode could explore how disconnected he feels from the people around him and how much the years he lost continue affecting him emotionally.

Sam will likely remain one of the most suspicious figures moving forward. The series keeps hinting that he knows more about the pond than he admits, and his conversations with Del already feel loaded with hidden meaning. It would not be surprising if Kat eventually begins investigating him as well, especially as more secrets surrounding Claire and the pond continue surfacing.

Alice may also find herself pulled back into another emotional timeline journey. After supporting Elliot through his experience in the 1970s, she may start looking at her own relationships differently, especially when it comes to family and the choices people make before their lives change forever. Since the show often mirrors the experiences of different generations, Alice could soon face a situation that forces her to understand someone from her own past in a completely new way.

The next episode may also continue building toward a larger reveal about who is truly controlling events around Lingermore. Grayson still feels too obvious to be the real mastermind, and Episode 5 repeatedly suggested that somebody else may be operating quietly behind the scenes. Whether that person is connected to the pond, the mines, or even Tessa herself, the story seems to be moving toward a reveal that could change how the Landrys understand their entire history.
